Dr. Sushil Kumar Singh @ Pitesti, Romania under Erasmus+ Staff Mobility
Dr. Sushil Kumar Singh, an associate professor at Marwadi University, was invited to the University of Pitesti, Romania, under the Erasmus+ Mobility Program to deliver the session on “Ramification of Blockchain and Emerging Technologies for Secure IoT-enabled Smart City” at the University of Pitesti, Romania, from October 15, 2024, to October 19, 2024.
CCP Law Final Meeting @ HUE, Vietnam
The Faculty of Law, Marwadi University, has been a partner institution in the Erasmus+ Project on Curriculum Development on Climate Change Policy and Law with nine other Asian and European partners. During the previous four years, partner institutions have deliberated upon crafting a curriculum on Climate Change Policy and Law that can cater to the needs of multiple disciplines. In response, partner institutions have crafted a curriculum that comprises law, management, and science subjects related to climate change. Consequently, the developed curriculum will be available as an LL.M. or a P.G. Diploma course.
A delegation comprising Dr. Rahul Nikam, Dr. Nongthombam Bangkim Singh, and Mr. Anugrah Pratap Singh Rajawat was invited by HUE University, Vietnam, to attend the final conference and the 6th Transnational Meeting of the project from 6th January 2025 to 10th January 2025. In the meeting, partners shared their experiences and challenges during the project. At the end of the meeting, partners successfully concluded the project.
Deep Learning in Medical Image Analysis: Dr. Prasan Kumar Sahoo @ Marwadi University
Professor Prasan Kumar Sahoo, Director of the ABC Lab, Department of Computer Science & Information Engineering at Chang Gung University, Taiwan, delivered an expert talk on "Deep Learning-Assisted Medical Image Analysis for Automatic Disease Prediction." The Department of Bioinformatics, Faculty of Engineering & Technology at Marwadi University, hosted the session under the International Workshop On Advances In Genomics Using Artificial Intelligence (IWAGAI), which attracted more than 70 participants from all over India. Professor Sahoo gave a very informative talk about how deep learning can be used to analyze medical images. He highlighted that these techniques are very crucial for improving the accuracy of diagnoses and making disease prediction automatic.
Dr. Sahoo's two-day visit from December 30th to 31st, 2024, allowed for extensive interaction with students and faculty members. These discussions centered on the latest advancements in deep learning applications within healthcare, encouraging students to explore research opportunities in this rapidly evolving field. The event served as a valuable platform for knowledge exchange, fostering academic collaboration and inspiring future innovations in medical image analysis.

Jadeja, Provost of Marwadi University; Dr. Sanjeet Singh, Prov VC of Marwadi University; Mr. Naresh Jadeja, Executive Registrar of Marwadi University; and Deans and Directors of other departments along with the campus tour.
Dr Rohit Thanki, CTO, DetMedX, Wolfsburg, Germany - BioInformatics Expert talk
The Department of Bioinformatics at Marwadi University, in collaboration with the Genomics Club, hosted an expert talk on "AI Applications in Cancer Detection" by Dr. Rohit Thanki, CTO of DetMedX, Germany. They had talk focused on the workflow and opportunities in developing AI models for specific cancer diagnoses, such as breast and cervical cancer, highlighting the parameters considered and the limitations of current models. Sixty students and faculty from Bioinformatics and other departments attended the session, which included a Q&A segment.
Dr. Thanki's presentation covered the potential of AI in diagnostics and digital medicine, the process of developing AI diagnostic models, their accuracy, and future implications for precise disease diagnosis. Students gained practical knowledge and insights into data utilization for AI model development. The event was well-received, providing valuable information and motivation to attendees, with special thanks extended to Dr. Thanki, the organizing team, and supporting faculty.
Dr. Nisarg Mehta International Scholarships & Opportunities Seminar @ MU
The "Unlock Your Global Potential: International Scholarships & Opportunities" seminar, featuring Mr. Nisarg Mehta, Research Fellow at the Silesian University of Technology, Poland, took place on 6th January 2025 at Auditorium. Attendees explored diverse programs such as NAWA-Banach, the National Scholarship Program (Slovakia), EIT Digital Master School, Polish Doctoral Schools, and the Polish Government Scholarship for PhD. Mr. Nisarg Mehta provided information on various funding options available for Master's and PhD levels, offered insights into the application process, and explained the essential requirements for securing these valuable opportunities.
Dr. Polkowiski Expert Session in Computer Engineering and Management Studies Department

On October 18, 2024, 70 3rd semester Computer Engineering students attended an expert session titled "Creating Websites & Web Portals" from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Prof. Zdzislaw Polkowski from WSG University, Poland, led the session. The objective was to equip students with the knowledge to build dynamic, user-centric websites and portals by exploring the evolution of the web (Web 1.0-5.0) and understanding the role of cloud computing (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS). The session aimed to provide students with the skills to create scalable, secure, and user-friendly web platforms while leveraging cloud technologies for efficient web development.
Management Studies - MBA
On October 18, 2024, Marwadi University hosted Dr. Eng. Zdzislaw Polkowski, an AI and BI expert, for a talk on the growing influence of these technologies on global business. Organized under the Semester Exchange Program with Bydgoszcz Polytechnic, Poland, the session provided MBA students with valuable insights into AI and BI's role in automating processes, enhancing decision-making, and shaping the future of business. Dr. Polkowski emphasized the importance of ethical AI and BI practices while acknowledging the challenges of implementation. An interactive Q&A session followed, allowing 108 students to engage with Dr. Polkowski and gain deeper insights into the transformative potential of these technologies.
Dr. Shobhit Patel at International Conference on Advanced Technologies for Communications (ATC) 2024 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
Dr. Shobhit Patel attended the International Conference on Advanced Technologies for Communications (ATC) 2024 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, from October 17th to 19th. This prestigious conference showcased the latest advancements in communication technologies, covering topics like 5G and beyond networks, wireless and optical communications, signal processing, and AI/ML in communications. The event provided a valuable platform for researchers, academics, and industry professionals to share knowledge and insights.
Dr. Shobhit Patel actively contributed to the conference by serving as a session chair for "A1-Antenna and Propagation," facilitating discussions and ensuring the smooth running of the session.
Furthermore, he presented his research paper, "Reconfigurable and Multiband Graphene THz Antenna Design Optimized Using Machine Learning," which sparked considerable interest and led to engaging discussions with other experts, potentially opening doors for future collaborations. The conference proved to be a professionally enriching experience, enhancing Dr. Patel's understanding of cutting-edge communication technologies.

Dr. Nilesh Advani, Prof. Hardik Doshi, Dr. Sunil Lavadiya, and Prof. Akshay Ranpariya visited the University of Pitesti under the Erasmus+ Mobility Program from 18th to 22nd November 2024.
During this period, Dr. Sunil Lavadiya has delivered two sessions on “Ramification of Blockchain for Secure Smart City and IoT Applications.” Essential concepts, such as Smart Contracts, how to address issues of IoT via the integration of IoT and Cloud computing, and how students can use the latest technologies, such as Blockchain, Deep Learning, and Machine Learning for Smart cities and IoT applications to create a more secure environment, have been learned by them.

H. E. Joyce Kikafunda, High Commissioner, Uganda to India @ MU
Marwadi University recently marked Uganda's Independence Day with a special celebration attended by distinguished guests. H.E. Joyce Kikafunda, Uganda's High Commissioner to India, joined Ugandan students at the university for the occasion on October 9th, 2024. The celebrations began with a flag hoisting ceremony, where both the Indian and Ugandan flags were raised by Prof. (Dr.) R.B. Jadeja, Provost of Marwadi University, and High Commissioner Kikafunda.
Adding to the significance of the event, Shri Parshotam Rupala, India's Minister of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, was also present. His attendance underscored the importance of the occasion and the strong relationship between India and Uganda.

We are proud to announce that our esteemed faculty member, Dr. Sejal Shah, was invited as a speaker and program coordinator at the HTC 2024 conference held from October 1–3, 2024, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Her workshop, titled "Reverse Vaccinology: Using Insilco Methods to Develop Vaccines," earned notable appreciation and recognition.
Moreover, Dr. Muktesh Chandra has presented a research article at the HTC 2024 conference held from October 1–3, 2024, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and was invited as a co-ordinator for the workshop, titled "Reverse Vaccinology: Using Insilco Methods to Develop Vaccines."

Mr. Nisarg Mehta from Poland - BioInformatics Research Seminar @ MU
The Department of Bioinformatics at Marwadi University organized an expert talk on October 11, 2024, featuring Mr. Nisarg Mehta, a Research Fellow from the Silesian Institute of Technology, Poland. The talk, titled "Unlocking global opportunities: Exploring higher education in Poland and Europe," aimed to inform students about opportunities and application processes for higher education in Europe. Fifty participants, primarily B.Tech Bioinformatics students and faculty, attended the session held in MC 501.
Mr. Nisarg Mehta discussed the importance of international education, funding opportunities, key research areas in Poland, and the application process for various courses. He also addressed working abroad after graduation and the practical aspects of studying and living in Europe. The talk concluded with an interactive Q&A session, and feedback indicated attendees found the information valuable and felt more confident about pursuing higher education abroad.
Prof. Akshay Ranpariya visit at POLITEHNICA Bucharest, Romania
Prof. Akshay Ranpariya from Marwadi University visited the National University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA Bucharest, Pitești Center, Romania, from December 13th -18th, 2024. The visit aimed to deliver a lecture on AI and Robotics, and interact with faculty and students, and observe research facilities. Key takeaways included strong student interest in AI, well-equipped labs, and faculty interest in research collaboration. The visit was highly productive for both universities, achieving its objectives and laying the groundwork for future partnerships.

Dr. Ramalingam Ramani, a distinguished professor from the College of Graduate Studies & Research, Mount Kenya University, Kenya, visited MU on 18th December and was welcomed by the Faculty of Pharmacy. The visit, facilitated by the International Cell of Marwadi University, was an enriching experience fostering academic and research collaborations.
Prof. Ramalingam visited the Pharmacy Department, where he was introduced to the department's research activities and given a tour showcasing the various scientific equipment and research facilities available.
Rinku Manvani @ 11th International Conference on Agriculture (AGRICO 2024) at Bangkok, Thailand
The 11th edition of the International Conference on Agriculture (AGRICO 2024) was organized in Bangkok, Thailand, during 23rd - 24th September 2024. The theme of the conference was Integrated Agricultural Management: Sustainable Eco-Friendly Practices. The conference was attended by more than 150 participants from different countries.
Ms. Rinku Manvani, a research scholar and teaching assistant from the Department of Microbiology, Faculty of Science (FoS), Marwadi University, India, presented her research at the conference. Her research was titled "Unveiling the Plant Growth-Boosting Abilities of Groundnut Root Nodule Endophytes of Gujarat, India." She was awarded the Best Poster Presentation for her research
RoboRoarZ Competition @ Singapore University of Technology and Design, Singapore
A team from Marwadi University recently participated in RoboRoarZ 2025, held on 23rd - 24th January 2025 , an international robotics competition held at Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD), the IEEE Singapore Section, and IEEE Women in Engineering Singapore. Organized by a consortium of leading institutions, the competition focused on innovative, reconfigurable robotics solutions. This year's "Food Delivery" theme challenged teams to utilize the "Smorphi" robotic platform to tackle complex logistical scenarios. The competition included both software and hardware challenges, attracting 95 teams and over 450 students from countries such as China, Singapore, Malaysia, India, and others across various age categories.
Marwadi University's participation in this prestigious event showcased their technical expertise and dedication to fostering global collaboration in the field of robotics.
